Job description

As Media Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Approach potential clients by identifying and generating new leads through cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events, or other means

  • Track each client’s media booking progress to ensure that it is completed accurately and on time

  • Maintain excellent relationships with all clients through sales account management

  • Develop sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to meet established sales objectives and targets by analysing market trends and past results

  • Implement sales programs/activities based on approved sales action plans

  • Market and competitors monitoring, research and reporting

  • Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs and networking events

  • Prepare monthly sales reports and key action plans and present to the management

  • Work and collaborate with other functions to achieve overall company and business goals

Job requirements

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills

  • Good business sense

  • Resourceful, with a positive attitude and good people management skills

  • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas/sales pitches

  • Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken)

  • Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin (written and spoken) is a plus

  • Good planning and organisational skills

  • Responsible, efficient and structured with attention to detail

  • Able to work well under pressure

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google office suite: Docs, Sheets and Slides

  • Good with numbers, and able to develop projected sales and reports

  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective cross-functional team work and customer relationship building

  • A Professional Certificate or Diploma or Degree in Sales Management and/or Business is preferred

  • Graduates from relevant fields of studies may be considered

  • Has 1-2 years relevant experience in the media industry with basic knowledge of the different media types for media proposal development

  • Must be a Malaysian citizen
